Pat McGrath Labs Releases New Eyeshadow Pallet

Pat McGrath Labs just released a new eye color pallet perfect for Fall! Through Influenster, I received the complimentary pallet in the mail but could only post about it today. It’s the Pat McGrath Labs Mothership Mega Pallet: Celestial Odyssey Eye Shaw Collection.

Serendipitously, the Cosmopolitan Magazine October 2021 issue was delivered at the same time. Inside the Cosmo magazine is “The Fall Makeup Guide your face needs right now”. The Cosmo article features 5 looks to do this fall. I chose two looks which featured eyeshadows and tried them out using the Pat McGrath Labs Mothership Mega Pallet.

Pat McGrath Labs Mothership Mega Pallet includes the colors: Saturn Sunset, Rose Venus, Gold Galaxy, Noir Moon, Bronze Nova, Nocturne, Galactic Glow, Sunrose Amber, Lotus Luxe, Lunar Haze, Electrique, Heavenly Body, Bronze Eclipse, Solar Flare, Nirvana, Corrupt Copper Palladium, and Citrine Envy.

Fall Inspired Cosmopolitan Looks Using Pat McGrath Pallet

The first look I tried is called “A Soft Pink Glow” to wear to the Hancock County Fair. The Cosmo article says to make a smoky eye using soft hazy pinks putting the matte colored eyeshadows on the base and the shimmery shades on the top.  The Pat McGrath Lab colors I used were: Sunrose Amber in the crease, mixed with Nocturne gradient in with the Sunrose Amber on the crease, Then in the outer and inner corners of the eyelid I mixed Galactic Glow and Lunar Haze. In the center of the eyelid I applied with my finger Heavenly Body.

Putting on the first color, I was surprised at how pigmented the colors are in the pallet. As I applied it, I was light as to not make it too dark. Next time I think I will go a little heavier to make it darker.

The second look from the Cosmo magazine article is the “The Inner Corner Art”. According to the magazine instructions use a shadow brush to tap one color into your inner eye corners in a sideways V shape. Next, trace another color along your upper lash lines. For the inner eye corners I used Pat McGrath Labs Gold Galaxy to make the sideways V shape, but I took it a step further and brought some of the color on the inner bottom lash line. When I made the V-shape on the top lash line I went a little ways in with the Gold Galaxy eyeshadow. Then I took the shade Nirvana in the Pat McGrath Labs Mothership: Celestial Eyeshadow Pallet to line the rest of the top lash line and continued the color on the bottom lash line. Drawing it out to where my wing would be. Between the crease and the top lash line I used the color Heavenly Body to add separation. For the outer corners of the eyes I used Rose Venus to add a little something to the look.

Finishing The Look

To complete the eye looks I used The Flick Stick by Lovoir [Amazon Affiliate Link] to stamp the cat eye and add a little liner. Truly, I’ve been loving this product eyer since learning about it on Instagram. Along with The Flick Stick, I also used Lancôme Cils Booster XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Primer and Lancôme Lash Idôle Lash-Lifting & Volumizing Mascara from Sephora.
